Range · 04 · Thinners and additives

Thinners and additives. Fast, standard, slow, base.

Three universal thinners cover a shop from a cold morning to a summer afternoon, a fourth is built for conventional basecoats. All four are free of alcohols and water, so they never shorten the pot life of an isocyanate hardener, and the fast one reaches its class without toluene. One epoxy thinner completes the shelf, on request.

The T series

Pick by the thermometer. Not by the label.

Every position has a shop temperature window where its evaporation rate gives the flow you want. Three windows carry a normal working week, the fourth belongs to the basecoat gun and the fifth to epoxy work.

Evaporation against n-butyl acetate (nBuAc = 1,0): FAST above 1,0 · STANDARD 0,8–1,0 · SLOW 0,5–0,7 · EXTRA SLOW below 0,5. The fast position is a real 27 % ahead of the standard, not a word on the label.

Strength is the relative dissolving power inside the series. Higher means better bite and intercoat adhesion, but more risk of lifting an old coating, so test repairs and thermoplastics on a hidden spot first. Lower surface tension means better wetting, and wetting is what orients the flake in a metallic base.

Typical values at 20 °C, not a specification. Confirm the choice with a spray-out against the data sheet of the product you are thinning.

Compatibility

Four tins for the whole shop. One for epoxy only.

The universal and basecoat positions run 2K PUR, 2K and 1K acrylic, alkyd and conventional basecoat, and take epoxy primers with a limit. The epoxy thinner is the opposite: it belongs in epoxy work and must never go into a polyurethane or a 2K acrylic. Nothing in the series goes into unsaturated polyester products.

  • No alcoholsT230, T210, T220 and T250 are free of alcohols, of other compounds with a free hydroxyl group, and of water. They do not react with isocyanate hardeners and do not shorten the pot life of a 2K PUR mix.
  • Fast without tolueneT230 reaches the FAST class without toluene, so its label carries no GHS08 health hazard pictogram, the one a toluene-based fast thinner brings with it.
  • The exceptionTE300 contains alcohols by design and is labelled separately. It is for 2K epoxy work only and must never be used to thin a polyurethane or 2K acrylic product.
  • DocumentsThe technical data sheet and the safety data sheet come with the product in your customer area.

Packs

Two sizes, one tin shape.

Every position is filled into the same metal tin in one and five litres, so a single label design covers both. A pallet of one-litre tins carries 768 pieces, a pallet of five-litre tins 168. The net weights are for your transport paperwork.
